The test screening of Raising Shrimp is coming up on April 22nd at the O Cinema in Wynwood, and we are delighted to have such great VIPs. We invited Miami’s greatest foodies, marine scientists and documentary gurus. Check out this amazing list of people:

 


Ted Caplow will be at the VIP Raising Shrimp premiere

Ted Caplow – Fish Navy Films

The executive producer of Raising Shrimp will be on hand to introduce the film and answer questions during the cocktail hour and after the film. Ted is an environmental engineer but is also a philanthropist, having recently started The Children’s Prize. He is also the producer and narrator of the previous documentary by Fish Navy Films, Fish Meat.

 

 


Michela Giorelli will be at the VIP Raising Shrimp event

Michela Giorelli- Discovery Channel

Michella Giorelli, VP of original productions for Discovery Channel Latin America/ US Hispanic, will be attending. She is very passionate about documentaries and is looking forward to seeing the film. She works tirelessly to bring great television to the Latin American market.

Diliana Alexander and Jose Jacho – Indie Film Club Miami

Jose Jacho founded the Indie Film Club Miami, a non-profit networking organization dedicated to the South Florida film community, in 1999 and brought onboard Diliana Alexander, a long-time TV and film director and producer, as Executive Director. The Indie Film Club Miami is an integral part of the local film industry.

Annie Reisewitz – The Sustainable Seafoodie

The Sustainable Seafoodie is a group of food critics that go around the world to find places that serve sustainable seafood and reveal the places to avoid. Annie is co-founder and director of Strategic Ocean Solutions, an environmental consulting firm working on global ocean issues. She is a perfect audience member for our film!

 
 
 
 

Alexa will be at the raising shrimp screening

Alexa Elliott- Changing Seas (WPBT-2)

Alexa Elliott is the series producer of the multiple Emmy winning show “Changing Seas” that is produced at WPBT-2 and aired internationally. We are huge fans of the series because it delves into the world of marine science and adventure and examines how our relationship with the sea is evolving.

 

 

 
We can’t wait for this test screening to finally show what we have been working on! We are still giving away two tickets.
