We have some exciting news! Fish Meat will be broadcast on TV on Wednesday, October 2nd at 7:30 pm on WPBT2 (with more airings to follow- check out our calendar) the PBS station located in North Miami. Fun fact: the street where you’ll find WPBT2’s offices and studios is actually called Sesame Street!
WPBT2 broadcasts in the whole of South Florida. They’ve been around for almost 60 years and are something of an institution in the state of Florida. PBS certainly has changed since we were kids (when we loved it for its purely educational shows) and now includes a lot of exciting (yet still educational!) programming (Downton Abbey anyone?). WPBT2 is responsible for some of our favorite (and award winning) shows including Changing Seas, Check Please! South Florida, Stargazers and Art Loft.
Fish Meat has had tremendous success at film festivals around the country and even across the globe. We love seeing it on the big screen, but bringing our beloved sustainable seafood documentary into the homes of thousands of viewers means that we can spread our message far and wide.
This will mark the first time that Fish Meat will air on television and we couldn’t be happier about it. You can check out WPBT2’s programming schedule here.
